Light:
Sansevieria cylindrica thrives in bright, indirect light. It tolerates low light, but growth will slow. It can handle some direct sun, though harsh afternoon sun may scorch the leaves.
Watering:
Watering is the most important factor when there is no drainage. Water sparingly, approximately every 3–5 weeks depending on light and temperature. In winter, reduce watering to every 4–6 weeks. Use a small, measured amount of water (about ¼–½ cup for this medium-sized pot). Allow the soil to dry out completely between waterings. Avoid letting excess water collect at the bottom of the container, as root rot is the main risk. When unsure, it is safer to wait longer before watering.
Signs of Trouble:
Soft or mushy bases indicate overwatering. Wrinkled leaves suggest under-watering. Yellowing leaves are usually caused by excess moisture. Very slow growth may indicate insufficient light.
